Technical Committee approves changes to Titans and Hampshire squads
The Karbonn Smart Champions League Twenty20 Technical Committee has today approved changes to the Titans and Hampshire squads.
CJ de Villiers has replaced Marchant de Lange in the Titans squad after the 22-year-old fast bowler was diagnosed with a back injury that will keep him out of the tournament.
David Balcombe has replaced England T20 international Danny Briggs in the Hampshire squad. Briggs is due to be married and go away on his honeymoon at the same time as Hampshire plays their second match in the CLT20 Qualifier - against Sialkot Stallions on 11 October – and would also be unavailable if England’s domestic T20 champions progress to the Group Stage.
As a result, the CLT20 Technical Committee has approved Hampshire’s application to replace Briggs for the duration of the tournament.
