Hampshire, Yorkshire in CLT20 Qualifiers

Mumbai, Aug 26:Hampshire have won the 2012 Friends Life t20 tournament and have sealed a place in the Qualifying tournament of the 2012 Champions League Twenty20. Runners-up Yorkshire have also secured a spot in the six-team competition to be played from October 9 to 11 in South Africa.
Hampshire will join Pakistan’s T20 champions Sialkot Stallions and New Zealand’s Auckland Aces in Pool 1. Meanwhile, Yorkshire’s Pool comprises Trinidad & Tobago from the West Indies and the champions of the ongoing Sri Lankan Premier League.
The finalists of the Qualifying tournament will proceed to the Group Stage of CLT20, which is the main competition that starts on October 13 at Centurion.
